Hey everyone, this mandala has been in the making since 2016! I started it in 2016 and along the years tried to finish it, but never did 😦 ! In February 2018, I wanted to finish projects I had lying around instead of trying to come up with new patterns and wah-lah, I began adding more rows onto this mandala.
Welcome to the first part of the “Fly with me mandala” CAL (crochet-a-long).
I challenged myself to use the entire Lion Brand Mandala cake for this project. I have no idea how many rows it will end up being or if I will add more yarn onto it! We will see how big this mandala will be 😀
WONDERING WHAT TO USE THIS FOR?
> Home decor – wall hangings, accent piece for your couch, chairs, office
> Baby decor – car seat, crib, wall hangings, floor
> Others – mat, rug, etc.
(use any hook and yarn size you want, but this is what I used)
> H Hook (5mm)
> Lion Brand Mandala Yarn
> Tapestry Needle
> CH (chain)
> SC (single crochet)
> HDC (half double crochet)
> DC (double crochet)
> SL ST (slip stitch)
> ST (stitch)
> FPDC (front post double crochet)
> YO (yarn over)
> BL (back loop)
> SP (space)
> Use any yarn and any hook size you want. Only difference will be the overall dimension
> This pattern is unfortunately not privately tested by anyone, but feel free to message me about any typos, etc. and I will check it out and change accordingly. Since this is a free pattern, I will try to help as much as I can! I will publish a paid PDF file later on with a full picture tutorial, additional details, ad free, and so on. Purchasing the PDF will help me continue to provide free patterns in the future.
> Whatever you may want to use this finish item as, use the specific yarn and hook to create it. EX. Rug, use sturdier yarn and larger hook
> MAKE SURE YOUR STITCH COUNTS ARE CORRECT OR YOU MIGHT HAVE TO FROG IT!
