New Releases: Red Heart Super Saver Yarn Colors #1

Hi all, I’m not going to lie, but I do love me some red heart super saver yarn (well, the softer colors of course, lol!). Ok, half-truths, but when you find the right colors they are definitely a steal.

It’s technically not THAT new (released in Oct 2016), but it’s the newest colors they’ve came out with. I’m pretty much half a year late on this, but I don’t see them advertise the new colors that much, except for 1 Instagram post, so it’s okay if I’m late! I came across the new colors while I was browsing Wal-Mart and from my experiences, they usually carry the latest colors, unlike Michael’s or Joann. They’ve came out with 13 new colors; 7 solids and 6 variegated colors.

SOLIDS

FLAMINGO

It pretty much looks like the color of a flamingo

OATMEAL
oatmeal
I would describe this as a light taupe, but more on the light grey mixed with taupe and white side, if that made sense

MUSHROOM
mushroom
This color is like a taupe color with a hint of red undertone (in the picture it kind of looks like the color cafe latte, but it’s different)

REDWOOD
redwood
This color is like a rich red rust color

POOL

MINTY

This color is exactly what the name is. Mint!

To see the colors more accurately, click here (red heart yarn site). All photos taken on an iPhone 7 in fluorescent lighting with minimal edits so colors may differ. Most of the solid colors were soft and the thickness looks consistent, except for pool it felt a little rougher, but still pretty good. The variegated colors are rougher than the solids which I tend to not go for. I would definitely buy the new solids when I need them because these yarns are actually pretty soft and affordable, especially at Wal-Mart ($2.88 + tax)

PS. I stocked up on Redwood since I couldn’t find it anywhere, except for a very specific Wal-Mart in my area and I don’t like going to that location, lol. I don’t want to come back there anytime soon and the most annoying part is that I am located around 3 Wal-Marts! Why is only one carrying redwood?! lol *crying*

HAVE ANYONE USED THESE NEW COLORS? DO YOU LIKE IT? LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS!
